Growing up, one of my favourite illustrations I had taped on my bedroom wall was the image of someone falling into a canvas, to illustrate someone travelling through a portal into a different realm. The visible is the threshold into the invisible, in which the images we create have the ability to transport people into the atmospheres, places, and impressions of living: stepping foot into the places they've dreamed of venturing.

Since ancient times, symbol and myth have educated people and infused the matrix of meaning into life. In nourishing meaning and storytelling, we connect to a greater power. My work is a continuation of that lineage of creating images which bear meaning as sacred; the magic of storytelling, right-brain holism, and the ontology of flow state experiences.

Julia Cameron writes that creativity is not about having your head in the clouds: it's bringing it back down to earth. “Art is not about thinking something up. It is about the opposite—getting something down.”
